A father had a miraculous escape when a car crashed into his bedroom wall after the driver lost control at high speed and crashed into the side of the house.
Eddie Flynn was sleeping in the front bedroom of his rental property on Verbana Rd in Aveley, Perth, when a yellow Mazda hatchback crashed through his bedroom wall at around 11:20pm.
Neighbors said the car was driving so fast when it hit a curb that it went airborne before crashing into the side of Mr. Flynn’s house.
The car stopped inches from where I was sleeping.

Mr. Flynn miraculously escaped injury, but was trapped inside his room for more than five minutes before he was able to crawl out through the rubble.
He said 9News he feels lucky to be alive and joked that he will have to go out and buy a lottery ticket, as soon as he can find his wallet.
“A car just went through the wall and joined me in bed,” he said.
‘The whole room exploded into dust and debris.’
While the family is grateful to have escaped unharmed, they are now looking for a place to live.
Mr Flynn miraculously escaped injury but was trapped inside his bedroom for more than five minutes as he scrambled to navigate his way through the rubble, but said he considered himself lucky to be alive.
Mr Flynn said all his belongings were destroyed by the car, but said “it’s just stuff” and said he’s grateful that he and his son, who was in the living room at the time, left with their lives.
The 21-year-old driver was seriously injured and rushed to Royal Perth Hospital.
No charges have been filed.
