Mayim Bialik’s comedy series Call Me Kat has been canceled after three seasons.

The news about the program was revealed by deadline on Friday, and it was also reported that the show, which aired on Fox, had experienced a decline in viewership over the course of its run.

The actress, who recently spoke about the upcoming The Big Bang Theory spin-off, recently promoted the third season finale, which aired Thursday night, on her Instagram account.

A Fox spokesperson issued a statement to Deadline to explain why Call Me Kat was taken off the air.

‘We are very proud of Call Me Kat. But unfortunately the public response was not as strong as we hoped,” they said.

The spokesperson went on to say that the company was grateful for the efforts the show’s creative team had made over the years.

“We are grateful for our partnership with Warner Bros. Television, That’s Wonderful Productions, Sad Clown Productions, BBC Studios… and all the cast and crew for their work and dedication to Call Me Kat,” they said.

It was also reported that Fox’s head of comedy, Cheryl Dolins, is currently planning to bring more shows to the network.

Call Me Kat is an adaptation of the British program Miranda, starring Miranda Hart and ran from 2009 to 2015.

The star of the original show was also one of the executive producers on the remake.

Call Me Kat focused on a woman who gave up her job as a professor to open a cat cafe while dealing with the trials and tribulations of her late 30s.

In addition to Bialik, who played the show’s title character, the program’s cast included artists such as Swoosie Kurtz, Kyla Pratt, and Leslie Jordan.

The 47-year-old Jeopardy! host was also one of the program’s executive producers, alongside her Big Bang Theory castmate Jim Parsons.

Call Me Kat received mixed to negative reviews throughout its run and currently has an average viewership rating of 53% Rotten tomatoes.
