Mayim Bialik has shared what she knows about the upcoming The Big Bang Theory spin-off being developed for the recently rebranded Max platform.

The 47-year-old actress portrayed neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler on the CBS sitcom and was asked if she will star in the spin-off Saturday while attending the Los Angeles LGBT Center Gala.

“If so, I don’t know,” Bialik said E! News. “I have the news just like everyone else. We’re all still pretty close, so there was a lot of texting. And I asked my agent. He was like, “I don’t know.” I don’t think anyone knows right now, but I can’t wait to find out.”

Bialik said she was ready for a guest appearance in the spin-off.

“I’ll do anything related to such a thing,” she said. “But yeah, we really have no idea. So I’m in the same boat as everyone else.’

Bialik said she had “no idea” about what she’d like to see in the spin-off, while also admitting she’s been thinking about it.

“My kids say, ‘Well, Mom, you should know,'” and I said I really don’t know. I loved all of our characters. And we’ve had so many incredible guest characters. So I thought, it could be anything. It could be literally anything,” she added.

This was reported earlier this month Variety that series creator Chuck Lorre, 70, was in the early stages of developing a new series based on the CBS sitcom that aired from 2007 to 2019.

The new series will be streamed on Max, the recently rebranded platform that combines the HBOMax and Discovery+ streaming services.

No plot details have been released yet, but it is believed to be an hour-long series with new characters and stars from The Big Bang Theory appearing in guest spots.

The Big Bang Theory starred Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco and was one of the highest rated shows on the CBS network.

It previously spawned the spin-off series Young Sheldon based on the character Sheldon Cooper played by Parsons, 50.

The sixth season of Young Sheldon premiered last September and the season finale is scheduled to air on May 18.
