‘Maybe he’s thinking about Arsenal’: Dutch prodigy Xavi Simons ‘could join the Gunners’, a former PSV boss claims, after the young midfielder took on a new agent who has ‘many contacts at the Emirates’
- Xavi Simons, the rising star of PSV Eindhoven, has been linked with a transfer to Arsenal
- The 20-year-old shone during a breakthrough year at the Dutch club
- Simons, formerly of PSG, has reportedly recently switched to England agents
PSV Eindhoven star Xavi Simons has been linked with a reported move to Arsenal in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Simons has had a fantastic debut year at the Dutch club after coming over from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.
The 20-year-old has scored 19 goals in all competitions for the club and quickly established a reputation as one of Europe’s rising stars.
According to the former Eindhoven manager, Simons could move just a year later with Premier League giant Arsenal as a possible destination Add de Moss.
The midfielder has reportedly recently switched agents and is now being advised on new career moves by England duo Darren Dein and Stuart Peters.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could be pursuing a summer transfer for the midfielder
De Mos states that the agency duo has good connections at the Emirates and that Simons’ move to a new representation could ensure that he switches to Mikel Arteta.
He explained, “His agent change indicates that he is searching [for a new club].
“Maybe he’s thinking about Arsenal. His new agents have many contacts there.’
Simons was part of the PSV squad that helped eliminate Arsenal from the Europa League competition this season and also played a key role in their recent cup win over Ajax.
The attacking midfielder could also return to PSG, with the Ligue 1 super spenders inserting a £10 million buyback option into the deal that saw Simons move to PSV.

That fee would be a staggering contrast to the £41 million figure Simons is valued at by CIES and could be the sticking point in Arsenal making a move.
Simons has risen to fame quickly this season, with a stellar Adidas contract matched by millions of social media followers watching his career progression.
PSV have tried to ground their prized asset and a video released earlier in the season showed Simons washing his teammates’ boots after a training session.
Should Simons join Arsenal, he would be PSV’s second major departure in less than 12 months after Cody Gakpo moved to Liverpool in January.
