Maya Jama ‘rekindles romance with Stormzy three years after shock split’

Maya Jama stepped out solo at The Bacchanalia’s opening party in London’s Mayfair on Thursday as it was reported she has rekindled her romance with Stormzy.

The presenter, 28, flaunted her enviable figure in a striking metallic silver dress, sporting an ab-flashing cutout and a daring side split.

Her glitzy outing comes after it was reported that Maya has started dating her ex-boyfriend Stormzy again, three years after their shock split.

The former couple both attended the 2022 GQ Men of the Year Awards in London on Wednesday, reportedly leaving just minutes apart.

Stormzy was overheard telling friends at the event that they were back together and engaged in “age-deep” conversations with Maya at the after party, according to The sun.

A source told the publication, “Stormzy and Maya are back together. They’re taking it easy, but they’re back in each other’s lives after a long time when they haven’t spoken or seen each other.’

The couple split in 2019 and have remained friends, with Stormzy recently describing their split as “the greatest loss a man can have.”

He has always denied any infidelity in the relationship, but admitted that he had to learn hard lessons about his behavior, describing it as “disrespectful.”

Speaking to Louis Theroux about his new interview series, the 29-year-old rapper admitted to making mistakes during their four-year relationship, but revealed he’s grown since then.

He explained, “My breakup, that was probably the biggest catalyst for growth as a man. It was like, OK, you made a mistake and you lose someone you loved, someone you cared about, someone who was special to you.

“That’s probably the greatest loss a human being can have, isn’t it? Leaving someone who has passed away is the greatest loss you can have.”

It’s not the first time Stormzy has spoken out about his relationship with Maya, after stating that he still loves her “wholeheartedly” and wants to get married and have kids with his ex-girlfriend in the future.

In 2020, he admitted that he “never loved anyone the way I loved her” in a new YouTube interview with Charlamagne tha God.

And recently on the front page of British GQ as their fifth man of the year, Stormzy spoke again about the impact his and Maya’s breakup had on him.

He said he has matured a lot in recent years and told the publication, “I think my breakup with Maya was still very heavy on my heart. I had never experienced a breakup and the feelings that come with it.

And I never wanted to be in a position where I felt what I felt. Because it showed me I was a boy. And I don’t want to go further as a boy. I’ve seen that manifest in other people. And I don’t want to be like that.’

Expanding on the changes he has made, Stormzy admitted that he has now taken responsibility for “disrespecting” his former partner.

The notoriously private couple dated for four years, but reportedly ended their relationship in 2019 to focus on their careers.

Maya recently became single again this year after splitting from her NBA player fiancé Ben Simmons – after a whirlwind year-long relationship.

And in recent weeks, she was seen giving her ex Stormzy a hug when they bumped into each other at Kendrick Lamar’s concert.

It’s unclear if the former couple arranged to meet, but after sharing a hug, they spent the rest of the evening together before going their separate ways.

Onlookers recounted how the pair later stood side by side in the VIP area, enjoying each other’s company while watching the American superstar.

The pair risked another confrontation on Sunday night when they both attended the MTV EMAs in Germany but were not spotted together in the evening.

But on Thursday, she appeared solo at the Bacchanalia opening and put on a very leggy display in a pair of black over-the-knee boots as she posed on the red carpet.

Maya swept her dark locks back into a sleek braid and accentuated her stunning features with her signature slick eyeliner and a touch of red lipstick.

The new Love Island host appeared to be in a jovial spirit as she struck a playful pose and waved to onlookers as she led the star-studded guest list.
