Maya Jama reflects on the most successful year of her career and says she ‘burnt the candle and worked her batty off’

Maya Jama reflected on her incredible career over the past year on Friday.

Via Instagram, the 29-year-old presenter proudly recalled her achievements and confessed that this year was the best of her career so far, as the star has achieved huge success in 2023.

From hosting Love Island to covering Vogue and creating her own Gordon's gin, she said: 'Overall this year has been about my best time [bottom] out and have as much fun as possible.'

Reposting a series of posts from across the year, Maya started her annual wrap with a return to Love Island in January.

The star looked sensational as she showed off her abs in a red crochet two-piece for the start of this year's winter series of the ITV reality show.

She wrote, “Want to imagine I only started hosting @LoveIsland this year! I'm about to start my fourth series in a few weeks.

'I never end a year with a big post, but in terms of career and life goals, this has definitely been one of the best years for me. Personally, I can't wait until 2024.'

Maya was back on our screens in June for the summer series of Love Island and will soon return for an All Star series airing in January.

Reminding followers of another career highlight, Maya shared a photo from her shoot with Vogue after being on the cover for the magazine's August issue.

She wrote, “This happened” with a love heart emoji, before adding “& Then this” or the following post with a photo of Maya as the new face for Dolce & Gabbana in September.

On the next slide, she added, “Overall, this year was about working hard and having as much fun as possible.

“If it were a chapter in a book, it would be called 'Burned the Candles at Both Ends, But Loving It'.”

But it didn't stop there for Maya after she also became the new global brand ambassador for Rimmel London in March.
