Maya Jama couldn’t wipe the smile off her face after she was presented with a red rose by a fan as she left the Novikov Restaurant in Mayfair on Wednesday.

The Love Island presenter, 29, looked every inch happy as she was stopped and presented with the single flower.

She looked effortlessly stylish as she stepped out in gray wide-leg jeans and a simple white T-shirt.

The TV personality added a touch of class and glamor to her causal fit with a statement black coat, built in with padded shoulders.

Maya wore her brunette locks behind her face and added height to her body with a pair of pointy pumps.

The beauty teamed her outfit with a handbag and appeared in good spirits after dining at the Asian fusion restaurant.

Maya, who recently signed a multi-million pound deal with Rimmel in January, was spotted filming the campaign earlier this week.

Announcing her partnership with Rimmel, Maya said: ‘I’m so excited to announce that I am the new global brand ambassador for @RimmelLondonUK.

‘I grew up with this brand and dreamed of one day saying the iconic ‘London look’ phrase on TV and now it’s happening. I don’t even have the words, following in the footsteps of Kate Moss, Adwoa and more doesn’t even make sense in my eyes, but I am honored.

“You wouldn’t have believed the 16-year-old me who moved to London from Bristol with a bag full of dreams if you had said 12 years later that I would be part of such a legendary London staple.

‘London is my home and now you can see me living the London Look’.

Eventually, Maya overcame her heartache and moved to London in 2012 at the age of 16, where she struggled for years to even earn enough money to travel to work.

She said The Sunday times earlier this month: ‘I was broke and pretended every day I had lost my Oyster card so I could go to work. I eat my way around London eating £1 chicken dinners from the shop every day.

Incredibly, Maya has reached the pinnacle of her career this year as presenter of the new series of Love Island, a gig which reportedly earned former presenter Laura around £600,000

‘But I was happy. I was working and living in London, I felt like I was getting somewhere. I would just work as much as possible.’

The star landed a part-time job at high street retailer Urban Outfitters and also worked as a runner for production company Jump Off.TV.

Eventually, Maya started hosting it weekly music video countdown, before switching to TRACE Sports on Sky and Rinse FM.

In 2014, Maya joined MTV on their show The Wrap Up, and in 2017 she hosted the pre-Brit Awards Party and a Facebook Live from the red carpet.

Maya also took over from Stacey Dooley as presenter of the BBC Three series Glow Up, and co-hosted Crouchy’s Year-Late Euros show with footballer Peter Crouch.

In addition to her television work, Maya was a regular host for BBC Radio 1 until 2020, and also appeared alongside Scott Mills until he moved to Radio 2.

But this year Maya has reached the pinnacle of her career as presenter of the new series of Love Island, a gig which reportedly earned former presenter Laura around £600,000.

The fan-favorite presenter has been busy lately filming the brand new spin-off Love Island Games in Fiji.

It comes after Maya and her boyfriend Stormzy had an argument in an alley after flying to Los Angeles for work commitments on Monday.

The Love Island presenter, who confirmed her relationship with the rapper was back on in August, appeared ‘unfazed and upset’ during the heated row.

After the argument ended, Stormzy went over to Maya to give her a hug and the pair appeared to have made up.

She later made light of the apparent disagreements on Instagram, posting a photo of her with her arms crossed along with a message from a friend, reading: “When he says he wouldn’t like you if you were a worm .’

Maya then zoomed in on her somber face, accompanied by several laughing emojis.
