Max Minghella appeared to be taking it easy on Sunday when he was seen out for a walk with his dog and an unidentified woman.
The 37-year-old Babylon actor’s outing came just days before Elle Fanning, who was reportedly in a relationship with him since she starred in his 2018 directorial film Teen Spirit, confirmed they were no longer a couple in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
The great actress said she was a “hopeless romantic” who believes in “love at first sight,” even though Max was no longer a part of her romantic life.
Max opted for a casual look in sweats, while his companion stuck to a similar black athleisure look.
He wore a nondescript blue sweatshirt that hung loosely around him, along with gray sweatpants and brown leather sneakers.

The beauty brought a cup of coffee for a caffeine boost, and she covered herself up against the wind in what looked like a men’s plaid shirt, though it wasn’t clear if it was hers or Max’s.
The two seemed to be in good spirits as they chatted, and Max had a brown dog on a leash.
The actor and director was pictured walking in New York City last month with actress-turned-director Lorene Scafaria, who headlined the Jennifer Lopez-starring Hustlers.
Max’s 2018 directorial debut Teen Spirit, which he also wrote, starred Elle as a 17-year-old living on the Isle of Wight who dreams of becoming a professional singer.
After she starts singing in bars without her disapproving mother’s knowledge, she enters a singing competition in hopes of making it big, but is faced with an uncertain path as she is waylaid by a pushy older man trying to be her manager , as well as a record executive who offers to give her a contract – but only if she signs before participating.
The drama was a hit with critics, although it made little impact at the box office.

They seemed to cement the romance when they made their red carpet debut in 2019 at the Met Gala for the camp-themed event.
Max and Elle were last seen last December when she joined him on the red carpet at the premiere of Damien Chazelle’s polarizing film Babylon, starring Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.
So far, Max has not publicly commented on the breakup.
