Maura Higgins has made her acting debut as she swaps reality TV for her role in the upcoming music-themed comedy The Spin.
The 33-year-old Love Island star made a fleeting appearance in the film’s trailer, stripping down to a skimpy metal strapless top as she lay pensively on her bed next to her love interest Game Of Thrones actor Brenock O’Connor.
Directed by award-winning director and screenwriter Michael Head, Maura stars as Rose in the film, alongside Pussycat Doll star Kimberly Wyatt, Hardy Bucks frontman Owen Colgan and Derry Girl star Tara Lynne O’Neill.
Premieres on Wednesday at At this year’s Belfast Film Festival, the trailer sees Maura’s character and her boyfriend Dermot looking tense as they sit on the bed together.
It comes after Maura confirmed her romantic relationship with Pete Wicks following a PDA-filled display in London last week.

The trailer, which premieres at the Belfast Film Festival on Wednesday, sees Maura’s character and her boyfriend Dermot (Brenock O’Connor) looking tense as they sit on a bed together.
Speaking about her role in the film, Maura said: ‘The Irish are known for our stories, so it felt fitting that my acting debut would be in an Irish film.
‘Although I feel comfortable in front of the camera, it still felt nerve-wracking at first, but talking to the brilliant cast and crew helped me relax.
‘Being on set was an incredible experience and I loved every moment of it! I play the character of Rose, Dermot’s girlfriend, an unhappy record shop owner.’

Maura revealed: ‘We get on really, really well. I love him, he’s a great person.
‘You know what’s so weird? We met very soon after I came off Love Island and we hit it off straight away.
‘Our humor is the same. It’s like that sick, dark humor. It’s very insulting. We abuse each other. Very nasty, it’s hilarious.’

Meanwhile, Pete has fueled romance rumors with Strictly Come Dancing partner Jowita Przystał in recent weeks
The couple were first romantically linked in august and shared a tender moment in the corner at the Pride of Britain afterparty last month.
Maura was seen planting a kiss on Pete’s nose before the pair were spotted at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
