Maura Higgins addresses Love Island All Stars rumors as she reveals she’s been approached by ITV

Love Island star Maura Higgins has set the record straight for appearing on an all-star series of the dating show.

The reality star, 32, who rose to fame on the hit show in 2019, confirmed she has been approached by producers.

Maura, who has been cited by fans as one of the most iconic contestants during the ITV show’s history, revealed she subsequently turned down the opportunity.

It comes after executive producer Mike Spencer recently teased the possibility of an all-stars series and was interested in signing the Irish bombshell.

The reality star told Goss.ie that she “doesn’t want to go back in time” and that she has left the show.

She said, “I don’t see myself ever doing that again, no. I was asked, but I said no.

“I just think, I did it once, I had my time on Love Island. I don’t really want to go back in time, I want to look to the future.’

A source told The Sun earlier this year that the all-star series is in “development” as they try to scout “some of the sexiest islanders.”

They said, “The plan would be to invite some of the sexiest and most successful former islanders to see if they can find love a second time.”

Male contestants on the verge of returning include 2017 series winner Kem Cetinay, 26, and 2016 star Scott Thomas, 28.

It comes after Maura got a job working on the US version of Love Island.

The TV personality has been revealed as the social media ambassador for the Stateside iteration, with the program’s official Instagram sharing the news last week.

Maura smoldered at the photo shared alongside a caption, “This just in… Maura Higgins will be your social ambassador this season, bringing you the BTS scoop all summer!”

Maura is no longer looking for love after her new boyfriend Bobby Holland Hanton confirmed their romance.

In Bobby’s Instagram snap, he showed off Maura’s hand and his own Rolex-clad wrist, while also sharing clips of him seen with Lisa Snowdon.

Maura’s romance with Bobby is her first serious relationship since her 2021 split from Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice.

The pair were together for four months, but Maura deleted all the love photos of her and Giovanni when they suddenly broke up.

In addition to dating Curtis Pritchard and Chris Taylor, who both co-starred with Maura on Love Island in 2019, the presenter also dated MK Dons footballer Connor Wickham and former TOWIE star Joey Essex.
