Matthew Perry’s Pacific Palisades mansion sells for $8.5M – one year after his tragic ketamine death

Matthew Perry’s former home in the Pacific Palisades has sold for $8.55 million in an off-market deal a year after his tragic death.

Almost exactly a year after he was found dead in the home’s hot tub on October 28, 2023, at the age of just 54, the Friends star’s 3,500-square-foot mansion was purchased by film producer and real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian, who located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Verma-Lallian plans to use the property as a “vacation home.”

Perry purchased the four-bedroom home in 2020 for $6 million.

Before buying his latest home, the Fools Rush In actor sold a mansion in Malibu and a swanky penthouse in Century City.

Prior to his death, Perry regularly shared photos of his home, pool and garden, revealing that he was a huge fan of Batman as artwork of the caped crusader was prominently displayed in his home.

In fact, his very last Instagram post was a shot of him enjoying the hot tub he died in, as the lights of the city twinkled behind him.

His death was ruled an accident due to the acute effects of ketamine. Buprenorphine, which is often used to treat opioid addiction, was also found in his system.

Contributing factors to his death were drowning and coronary artery disease.

The 3,000-square-foot property on Blue Sail Drive was built in 1965 as a modest ranch-style home.

It has since undergone an extensive transformation, with Perry putting his own personal stamp on the expansive path.

He completely renovated the building, exchanging a light oak floor for darker wood and boho furniture for much brighter colors.

The beautiful four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home sits on a hill overlooking the ocean, and many of the rooms offer panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.

On Monday, October 28, Perry’s mother Suzanne Morrison and stepfather Keith Morrison will discuss the actor’s final days with Savannah Guthrie on the Today Show to mark one year since his death.

In a teaser clip shown on Friday, Suzanne, 81, said Perry showed her “one of his new houses” before saying: “He came up to me and said, ‘I love you so much and I’m so happy to to be with you. now”.

“It was almost like it was a premonition of something. I didn’t think about it at the time, but I thought, how long has it been since we’ve had a conversation like that. It’s been years.’

“I think there was something… there was an inevitability to what was going to happen next to him, and he felt it very strongly. But he said, “I’m not afraid anymore.” And it worried me.
