A poignant scene in Friends that shows a tender moment between Joey and Chandler has resurfaced in the wake of Matthew Perry’s death.
The beloved actor, who played the wisecracking Chandler Bing in all ten seasons of the series, died on Saturday at the age of 54.when it was tragic found dead in a hot tub with him Los Angeles At home.
Tributes poured in from friends, fans and celebrities alike, with many sharing clips from his career-defining role in the sitcom, which ran from 1994 to 2004.
One TikTok user posted a scene from 1995’s season 2, episode 16, The One Where Joey Moves Out, in which Chandler and Joey, played by Matt LeBlanc, break up after the latter chooses to leave their apartment.
In the heartbreaking scene, the best friends shared a tender hug after Joey asked his friend: “I don’t know when I’ll see you again” – a moment when the TikTok user confessed: “Will hit differently now (in their emotions) that he’s gone’.

The scene from The One Where Joey Moves Out shows Chandler and Joey in a bitter argument over their living arrangements, forcing the latter to move out.
His decision to move came after he began to become increasingly successful in his work on Days Of Our Lives and had an argument with Chandler over his “disgusting” living habits – such as licking spoons and putting them back in a drawer.
While the duo lock horns for much of the episode, the scene in question sees them working through their issues and expressing their love for each other. Joey says, “So listen, I don’t know when I’m going to see you again.”
In his typical style, Chandler jokes, “Well, I’m betting at the coffeehouse tonight.”
As they both nod and laugh, Joey says, “Be careful,” before closing the door – only to rush back in and hug his best friend, who laughs and puts his arm on Joey’s.

The clip plays to the tune of an acoustic rendition of The Rembrants’ theme tune for the show, I’ll Be There For You.

In the past, Matthew called the program – which also starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow And David Schwimmer – ‘an incredible ride.’
He added: ‘It was incredible to see how it touched the hearts of different generations. It’s become something important, and I, you know, I would look at that again. It was really funny, and all the people were nice.”
He appeared on the hit series for ten seasons, from 1994 to 2004. He has also appeared in a number of films during his career, including 1997’s Fools Rush In, 2000’s The Whole Nine Yards and 2009’s 17 Again.

On Saturday, TMZ reported that first responders were called to Perry’s home to treat cardiac arrest. No foul play was suspected in the actor’s death, sources told the outlet.
The LA County Coroner Office currently lists the case status of the actor’s death as ‘open’. An autopsy is planned.
The next day, Matthew’s family spoke out. A brief statement from his family read: “We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother.”
“Matthew brought so much joy into the world, both as an actor and as a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the enormous outpouring of love.”
His blended family consisted of his mother, father, two stepparents and five step-siblings
