Matthew Perry enjoyed a meal with a mystery woman just a day before he was tragically found dead in his hot tub.

The Friends star, 54, appeared in good spirits as he sat with the brunette at the Hotel Bel-Air in California on Oct. 27.

Other diners said the duo sat together for over an hour and a half, with the actor barely touching his food while engaged to his glamorous guest, according to TMZ.

The midday meal came just a day before Perry was found in his hot tub by his assistant, sparking an outpouring of tributes to the beloved actor from around the world.

Perry dated a string of high-profile women during his famous career, including Lizzy Caplan and Gwyneth Paltrow.

But after his engagement to literary manager Molly Hurwitz ended in 2021, sources told DailyMail.com he longed for a wife and family.

Insiders close to Perry said he longed for a meaningful relationship and stepchildren, thanks to his close bond with his own stepfather Keith Morrison.

“Matthew has always dreamed of having the perfect family,” a source close to the star told DailyMail.com. ‘He wanted a wife, and at least some children. And he said he wouldn’t mind marrying a woman who already had children.”

‘Lately the star has been looking for love again. But a series of failed relationships left him feeling sad and depressed, as if he would never find the love he longed for.

“Matthew dated dozens of women. But in the end, he always felt like they were only interested in his money and his fame. And he was generous to a point.

‘He showered women with gifts, after which they packed their things and walked away.

“Ultimately, I think his years of battling demons… Drugs and alcohol… took their toll on him, and his health, and he would eventually end up alone again.”

The investigation into Perry’s death is ongoing, but officials have said there are no indications of foul play.

It is believed he drowned, although no official cause of death has been announced.

First responders on the scene revealed that when Perry was found by his assistant, he was found underwater before they lifted his head in a desperate attempt to get him some air.

By the time the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at his home in the Pacific Palisades, the actor was already dead, it was later determined.

It comes after a 15-second call emerged showing the moment his assistant called 911 to report a possible cardiac arrest.

Perry had been open about his past struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, but said in recent interviews that he was sober and sober.

Perry wrote in his memoir published last year that he spent $9 million to get sober. He revealed that he had attended 6,000 AA meetings, been to rehab 15 times and been in detox 65 times.

First responders reportedly found antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications in the building, but there were no signs of illegal drugs.

Family friends had also reported that he seemed “fatigued” in the days before his death.

The 54-year-old posted a haunting image of himself enjoying a dip in his pool on Instagram in his final days.

In his latest Instagram post, posted earlier this week, the star shared terrifying images of him in his pool
