Matthew McConaughey’s Son Levi, 15, Shares Heartfelt Birthday Tribute to His Dad: ‘The Man Who’s Always There for Us No Matter What’

Matthew McConaughey is feeling the love from his family on his 54th birthday.

The Oscar winner’s 15-year-old son, Levi, took his Instagram on Saturday to share a heartfelt message in honor of his father’s big day.

“People know Matthew McConaughey as an actor and now as a writer, but I know him as my father,” Levi began.

“The man who always makes time for us no matter what, the man who is always there for us no matter what, and the man who taught me to appreciate the journey and not just the destination,” he continued, alongside an epic photo carousal of throwback snapshots of the family, including his mother, Camila Alves, and his siblings, sister Vida, 13, and brother Livingston, 10.

“The journey has only just begun…Congratulations Papai,” Levi concluded the sweet tribute.

The two were later spotted with the entire McConaughey family, including Matthew’s mom, Kay, as they gathered for an outdoor group photo.

The star had an eventful birthday weekend, as he and Camila attended a party for their new tequila venture, Pantalones Organic Tequila, before attending a football game at the University of Texas at Austin.

The gorgeous couple were in promotional mode for their Pantalones collaboration after announcing it with a hilarious commercial last month.

With a cheeky nod to the brand’s name, the superstar couple throws back their pants to ride a motorcycle through an agave field.

Matthew and Camilla’s new collaboration comes as no surprise as they are virtually inseparable.

Last month, the Dallas Buyer’s Club star revealed that the two were never separated for more than nine days during their 2012 wedding.

The couple’s love story began with their meeting at a West Hollywood nightclub in 2006.

The Oscar winner shared with People that before meeting her, he had doubts about ever experiencing “unconditional love.”

“I mean, the clock was ticking,” he recalled. ‘I was about to turn forty and my plan was to get married and have children at that age.

“But I didn’t want to play the game of starting to feel anxious, because with too much anxiety you can’t find a partner,” he continued. ‘And then you make a hasty decision.

‘And then this amazing woman walked across my field of vision and I thought, “Who is that?” And it was Camila.”

“We have a love that we never doubt,” he said.
