Matthew McConaughey’s lookalike son made his Instagram debut as a gift from his parents on his 15th birthday, but mom Camila Alves admitted she was “nervous” about the social media account.
Levi Alves McConaughey joined the social media sharing of photos and videos alongside TikTok on Friday in honor of his milestone birthday.
Before the big reveal, Matthew, 53, – who was recently revealed to have almost taken on the role of Pedro Pascal in The Last Of Us – and Camila, 41, took to the same social media to talk about their present as they were also open about their concerns.
Matthew said, “Happy Birthday Levi Alves McConaughey. Can you believe it? Fifteen years young.
“Hey, buddy, your mom’s a little nervous today. One of the gifts we give you, yes we allow you today to join the social media universe.”

The couple admitted that they had been negotiating for some time when to bill their eldest child since he was 12 years old.
Camila said, “All his friends have had it for a long time. We’ve held on.’
Matthew added: ‘He knows who he is and he knows where he’s going. I think he can handle it. He has a great story to tell and share.”
The Oscar winner then had a personal message for anyone interested in following along with his teenage son.
The actor said sweetly, “I want you all to know that you’re getting a really cool and respectful young man in Levi McConaughey, and I hope you can all do your best to treat him the same way.”
“Levi, enjoy the adventure, enjoy telling your story, expressing yourself and what you bring out and the exchange you get with people out there.”
The couple ended the video with applause as they both said in unison, “Happy birthday, go check it out.”
Levi wasted no time as an hour later he responded to his parent’s social media post with the comment, “Thanks Mamma and Papai!”

McConaughey and Alves first met in 2006 when they were introduced to a bar in Los Angeles.
The happy couple started a relationship soon after and they started a family with the birth of their son Levi in 2008.
The two expanded their family with the birth of their daughter Vida, aged 13, in 2010 before getting engaged over Christmas in 2011.
The couple tied the knot in Austin in 2012 and that same year they added another son named Livingston, age 10, to their lives.

Last year, Camila opened up about raising their family in Austin, Texas, a decade after moving there in 2012.
Camila – who lives in the Lone Star State with Matthew and their three children – said she prefers to live in the Lone Star State as she shared Fox news: ‘It’s been great.
“It really embodies our belief system, especially the one I grew up with, like going to church every Sunday and saying ‘yes ma’am’ or ‘no, sir.’ I grew up saying those things from a family of farmers.”
Camila moved from her native Brazil to New York City when she was 19, but can’t help but compare her new home in Austin to where she grew up.
Last year, Camila opened up about raising their family in Austin, Texas, a decade after she moved there in 2012, as she told Fox News, “It was amazing. “It really embodies our belief system, especially the one I grew up with, like going to church every Sunday and saying ‘yes ma’am’ or ‘no sir.’ I grew up saying those things that come from a farming family
She said, “For me, being from Brazil and then coming to Texas, I found a lot of similarities in terms of what families do here, especially going to church on Sunday and being very outdoorsy. It’s been a great transition.’
The dazzling star – who is promoting her first children’s book Just Try One Bite – said the biggest benefit of moving halfway across the country was the privacy for her family.
Camila explained, “We’ve lived in Malibu for many years and have paparazzi outside our door every day — every day — when that becomes normal you don’t realize how much that actually affects the things you do until you actually leave and come out.
‘The children grow up in their own way. So from that perspective it was very important.’
