Her request to continue the proceedings was rejected, the agency reported, noting that the judge said there was no reasonable reason for the delay after previously granting her an extension.

The Lincoln Lawyer star told the court he initially filed for a restraining order after learning the woman planned to travel hundreds of miles to see him.

He said he was informed that she had purchased a ticket to attend a photo-op event on September 16 at Barnes & Noble The Grove in Los Angeles, where he was promoting his new book Just Because.

“She bought tickets to attend promotional events.” I am scheduled to appear the week of 9/11/23,” he told the court in his original request for a restraining order. ‘She is delusional and a threat to everyone present.’

McConaughey told the court he was “concerned” by the woman’s “independent” and “escalating” behaviour.

The woman did show up at the event, where the authorities informed her of the curfew and escorted her from the premises without further incident.
