On Monday, SmartLess co-host Will Arnett recalled: “What we didn’t know – none of us knew – when Bateman finally quit smoking, as they say in the video game world, he finally quit smoking and he was gone. And then Matthew snatches his camera away and starts laughing. And (co-host Sean Hayes) says, “Matthew, I didn’t know it was you!” And McConaughey wrote it all like a court reporter!
Jason – who had just lost a game of golf – went on to say it was “mortifying” when he finally realized he had scolded producer-star Agent Elvis while laughing.
“The worst part is I hear someone laughing and thinking it’s Will or Sean and saying, ‘Who did that?! That’s no use!’ And then I just closed my laptop, took my ball and went home like an ab****,” Bateman recalls.
