Matt Lucas and David Walliams FINALLY reunite as they launch exciting new project – 15 years after their last series ended

Matt Lucas and David Walliams have finally been reunited to launch a brand new podcast, which welcomes Rob Brydon as their first guest.

The Little Britain stars had an entertaining chat with the Gavin and Stacey actor, 59, in the show, entitled Making a Scene, in which celebrities direct a film of their lives, up to the most important scenes and cast.

The project is their first in 15 years, when they complete their only season of Come Fly With Me – A Mockumentary about a fictional airport and airlines.

It will be accompanied by a weekly spin-off that you can’t ask me, those listeners invite to send their most shameful and uncomfortable questions to the duo.

New episodes are out every Tuesday and the will of Richard E. Grant, Alan Carr, Andrew Mensah, Jack Whitehall, Kevin Bishop, Tia Kofi and Stephen Merchant, will explain the story of their lives.

This week Rob revealed that people regularly confuse him with strictly dancing judge Anton du Beke and vice versa.

David, 53, asked: “How often are you for Anton du Beke?”

The comedian answered: ‘Much. And he for me. And on a good day, I hear, Hugh Grant. I told Morgana Robinson and she said, “It’s a bad day for Hugh.” Sometimes I switched on the television and Anton was on, and I thought it was I was. ‘

The actor continued to say that Anton would be a shoo to play him a film, which he announced as an ‘underdog’ story, although he would keep hope for Michael Fassbender or Joaquin Phoenix to accept the role.

Last month, Rob posted a throwback photo of him and Gavin and Stacey Co star Ruth Jones who performed in the school’s production 40 years ago.

In the show he explained that the Welsh actress, 58, was like the ‘sister he never wanted’, but their ambition to be stars and entertaining brought them together.

Rob chose Penelope Cruz to play his dear friend Ruth and said he would play his own drama teacher, with the help of his famous Ronnie Corbett impression.

Rob and Ruth’s friendship dates more than four decades, with the couple being friends of 14 years old for the first time when they are at school in Wales.

About how they met for the first time, Rob told ITV’s Lorraine: ‘I came for the first time in the late 1970s, early 80s in the music theater at school, where I met Ruth Jones.

“So I know her since I was a teenager, and we were in the school musicals together.”

Referring to a throwback photo, the comedian added: ‘That is Carousel, and I wear the boots of my uncle to give me a kind of height advantage.

“That is Ruth on the left, we also did Guys & Dolls.”

It was a friendship that no doubt helped to rob his role in Gavin & Stacey, with Ruth rather told the British comic guide that he quickly came up in me when she started writing Bryn’s role.

The moment he read the first two episodes, he called Ruth and said: ‘I really want to do it. I know exactly who he is; I know exactly what he is wearing; how he walks; How he speaks. ‘

Earlier this year, Rob again discussed his proximity with Ruth and the Guardian told: ‘I love Ruth, you know.

‘She is still my closest girlfriend and closest to a sister. Photographing the last special with her was so emotional. ‘

Matt’s reunion with his co-star comes after David claimed that he was ‘probably non-binary’ when he opened frankly about his sexuality and gender identity.

The comedian and author also admitted that he thinks that life would have been easier for him if he was gay.

He appeared on the Australian podcast Uncomfortable conversations with Josh SzepsWhere he made the revelations about himself.

David explained that if people were to use the same language as now when he was younger, he would most likely have identified as non-binary.

He said to the host: ‘I think I would probably say that I am not binary in a way, I think. I don’t know exactly. ‘

The comedian remembered: ‘It is interesting because I had this girlfriend at the end of the university and we used to go out.

‘I used to go to gay clubs and dance for six hours and I would wear a skirt and wear things like that.

He added: ‘I find it interesting. I mean, I find change interesting. And I mean, you know, I wrote a book with the name The Boy in The Dress 15 years ago, which was seen a little more daring.

“And it’s always something – I have always felt a bit to celebrate the difference, so I always thought it is exciting.”

The comedian and author also admitted that he thinks that life would have been 'perhaps easier' for him if he was gay

Focuses on his identity both now and in his younger years, he said: ‘I think a bit, where would I perhaps position myself if I was now 19 or 20?

‘Because I went to Bristol University and obtained a drama diploma. And I think that is the course where you are probably … If there is a group of people who will be most interested in that kind of area, most attracted by that area, it will probably be drama students. ‘

Later in the podcast host Josh Szeps asked: ‘And what about your sexuality? You always lean on “the most famous bi-news rigid comedian in Great Britain” or something, was that a real reflection of your adolescence, are you fooling with boys? ‘

David replied: ‘Yes, I would say that. Yes, so I was always at home with that. Sometimes I think that my life would be a lot easier if I was just gay. Because I am really attracted to gays. I really like gay culture. ‘

Matt, 50, meanwhile irritated BBC breakfast viewers after he His first novel in the show in December repeatedly advertised.

Naga Munchetty started the show by revealing that Matt had written his first novel, a children’s book,, saying: ‘This is your latest book. Well, this is the paperback version of your first novel. ‘

Asked why he had written a children’s book, the comedian joked that if his old friend David could do it, then.

He said to the show: ‘Well, I thought if [David] Walliams can do it, everyone can. ‘

He then made jokes that the pair was competitive before he complimented his friend and called him ‘the king’ and admits that he asked for advice before he put pen on paper.

The Little Britain star then stopped his book and explained the plot.

He said Naga and Charlie: ‘This book is a bit different. This is the boy who slept through Christmas. ‘

But before he could end, the BBC guests jumped in to tell the star and explain that he was not allowed to advertise to advertise his new novel in the show.

Naga said, “You can’t do that.”

Charlie Stayt added: ‘You are coming here and you are already breaking the rules. David Walliams would not do that, you know? He knows the rules. ‘

But Matt continued and told The Breakfast Show that his novel was a musical in book form and even came with songs.
