Matt Healy, 36, introduces girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel, 24, to his parents as they enjoy a family night out at Denise Welch’s play in Manchester

After five months of steamy cuddles abroad, lavish date nights and adorable trips back and forth to the US, Matt Healy has finally introduced his new girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel to his parents.

Showing off his family’s endless talents, the 1975 frontman, 36, took his model partner, 24, for a family night out to see his mother Denise Welch’s play The Gap on Thursday.

The rocker is the son of actress and Loose Women star Denise, 65, and actor Tim Healy, who was also at the gig in Manchester with his wife Joan Anderton.

He and Gabriette were spotted arriving at the Hope Mill Theater, where Matt’s mother Denise is performing in the production alongside Matthew Kelly.

Matty looked almost unrecognizable as he stepped out, with no mustache and a clean-cut haircut.

The musician cut a smart-casual figure in pinstriped pants and a black t-shirt.

Matt braved the cold and dressed warmly to brave the cold spell in Britain in a black trench coat that reached past his knees.

Gabbriette looked stylish in a black T-shirt and wide black leather pants, which she teamed with a simple pair of ballet flats.

The brunette beauty also dressed for the weather, completing her look with a black satin coat and a chunky black scarf.

Matt gave a double thumbs up as he left the theater after the show and he and Gabbriette happily posed for photos with fans of “The 1975.”

Matty and Gabbriette haven’t shied away from being open about their relationship since they made their romance official by sharing a public smooch in New York City in September.

They have been spotted looking in love several times, including sharing a kiss in New York last month.

Gabbriette is the lead singer of punk rock band Nasty Cherry, while Matty is busy touring the world with The 1975.

Matty was first linked to Taylor Swift, 33, in 2014, although their relationship quickly hit the rocks.

A source said People at the time, “She had fun with him, but it was always casual.”

“They are no longer in a romantic relationship,” they continued.

The romance came when Matty announced that The 1975 would be on an “indefinite hiatus” when it came to touring.

He said during the band’s performance at Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California in September: “It’s great to have you all here, after this tour we’re going to be taking an indefinite hiatus from shows so it’s great to have you join us tonight to have. . Thank you so much.’

The group took the stage at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on January 13, 2024.

They then headed back to the UK and Europe from February, before finishing at AFAS Live in Amsterdam on March 24, 2024.
