Former Mets pitcher Matt Harvey has reportedly been dumped by his model girlfriend Monica Clark because he is “obsessed” with his new job in real estate.
Harvey retired from baseball in May of this year, and the 34-year-old has since taken a new job as an executive at a real estate company, according to Page Six.
The publication says that Harvey and Clark got together in the spring, but their summer romance is as far as things go due to the extent of his dedication to his new job.
A source was quoted as saying, “It just didn’t make sense overall. He just became obsessed with his new job.”
Clark, who is from Australia, and Harvey apparently knew each other for a while before they got together.

Clark is a model and also works for the Zero Bond members’ club in New York
In addition to being a model, Clark also works for the Zero Bond members’ club, owned by Scott Sartino, in New York.
Harvey works for real estate giant Newmark as a general manager in the company’s Capital Markets Strategies division.
He dropped the curtain on his career last May, ending a complicated relationship with the Mets.
In February 2022, while appearing at the Tyler Skaggs trial, Harvey admitted to regular use of cocaine in New York. As a result of his confession, he was suspended for 60 games.
In addition to time with the Mets, Harvey also played for the Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Angels, as well as the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles.
He has previously dated supermodels Adriana Lima and Anne Vyalitsyna.
Harvey announced his retirement last May, writing on Instagram, “With all the great memories came a lot of injuries and hard times. The realization that those incredibly powerful moments that allow me to thrive as a pitcher and help my teammates and city win are no longer possible.
“Believe me, I wish I could have done more and brought more of those great moments back to life. I must say this is my time to say thank you and goodbye.
