While it’s common to use Strictly as a springboard for another project, the former pop star seems to be taking things to a whole new level.
A comeback single, Are You Ready, was released last month but failed to break the Top 40.

Matt stars alongside Dame Joan Collins and Craig Fairbrass in The Stork Club, a gangster drama set in the 1970s.
“I’m playing a very sinister character, something I’ve always wanted to do,” he said.
The film is being produced by Jayney Mackie, who collaborated on the 2020 rom-com The Loss Adjuster, starring… Luke Goss!
Ambitious Matt is also keen to produce a jukebox musical about Bros, given the success of movies like Rocket Man.
In addition, he wants to launch a range of homeware and clothing: Goss instead of Goop.
“I’ve been around people who have made great brands in my life, and for me that’s the dream. It’s not just about financial gain. It’s something I can leave behind, as well as my music.’
Strictly Come Dancing launches Friday at 7pm on BBC One
