Matt Gaetz Suggests DEMOCRATS Are Behind Biden Documents Headache To ‘Delete’ Him By 2024

Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz suggested Wednesday that classified files found in the possession of President Joe Biden may have been placed there by his fellow Democrats in an attempt to get him out before the 2024 election.

Amid a high-profile Justice Department investigation into Donald Trump’s handling of top-secret documents, it was discovered in November that Biden himself had a small number of classified records left over from his vice presidency.

They were found in a closet at the Penn Biden Center think tank, where the now-president previously had a private office. Its existence was only revealed this month.

Since then, more such documents have been found at the Biden family home in Wilmington, Delaware.

Firebrand’s conservative Gaetz apparently suggested foxnews that it was the result of a conspiracy to prevent the commander-in-chief, 79, from running for a second term.

More than a dozen classified documents were found among the president’s private possessions, dating to his time in the Obama administration.

“There is an element to this that looks like the Democrats are removing Joe Biden,” Gaetz said.

He quickly added, “I don’t know if that’s the case, but I don’t know if it’s not.”

“But just as Joe Biden is hardening the cement around his decision to run for president again, they begin to search for what classified documents might have been hidden eight years ago,” Gaetz concluded.

The White House admitted that a small batch of Obama administration-era documents was found in the Washington, D.C., think tank only after CBS News first broke the story.

They were allegedly found among Biden’s personal possessions, such as documents outlining his son Beau’s funeral arrangements, and contained information related to Iran and the United Kingdom, according to reports.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed special counsel to oversee the matter late last week.

Although Biden has not formally declared his intention to run in 2024, officials and advisers have said the president is preparing to announce his re-election bid, despite concerns from fellow Democrats about his advancing age.

At least six classified documents were found at Biden’s private residence in the upscale Greenville neighborhood, a wealthy area of ​​Wilmington, Delaware.

A presidential historian told DailyMail.com earlier this week that it’s too early to tell if the investigation of the classified files will have anything to do with Biden’s likely campaign.

“It’s really too early to tell, because we don’t know what was in the documents,” Rutgers professor and presidential historian David Greenberg told DailyMail.com of the Biden situation.

“But it seems that Biden is confident that they were inadvertently packed up and that he has nothing to hide. If that’s the case, I imagine he won’t view this issue as a liability in 2024 and will likely run for re-election.”

Greenberg went a step further, speculating that whether Biden mounts a serious campaign could depend on whether his political foe Trump wins the Republican nomination.

“I think Biden sees himself as a firewall against Trump’s return. As long as Trump is running, Biden feels the need to run to block him,” the historian said.

“If a different Republican got the nomination, the threat to America would be much less and everyone could relax a bit, and in such a situation Biden might feel fine letting the Democrats fight for a successor.”
