Matt Gaetz is mercilessly mocked over surprising new career move: ‘Not on my bingo card’

Former Attorney General Matt Gaetz has his eyes on a new career after claiming he was forced to leave Congress over a sex smear campaign.

Gaetz sensationally dropped out of contention two days ago over a series of allegations, including sex with an underage girl and illegal drug use – which he has always denied.

He also withdrew from Congress next year, despite being re-elected to the seat he vacated.

But while many were left wondering what he will do next, Gaetz has already taken his big step.

The Florida senator is the latest Republican to join Cameo, a website that allows ordinary people to pay for video messages from celebrities.

Priced at over $525, fans can now receive personalized birthday and holiday wishes, pep talks, advice and roasts for other people from Gaetz.

He also answers questions and helps people improve their signature slogans. Currently, he has already released two pep talk videos and has not received any reviews yet.

“I served in Congress. Trump nominated me to be US Attorney General (that didn’t work out). I once fired the Speaker of the House of Representatives,” is how Gaetz describes himself in his profile.

He also claims to be available 24 hours a day to make one and a half minute videos.

Gaetz’s latest effort has left many viewers feeling “pathetic” and making fun of the questions people could ask him.

One X user commented: ‘Someone asks him what he thinks the age of consent should be!’

While another pointed to capitalism and said: ‘God bless capitalism.’

“Him and George Santos. That would be huge,” one X user even suggested.

Another simply said: ‘mega cringe’.

Back in the day, Gaetz told The Charlie Kirk Show That he will now work to recruit talent that could help support the new Trump administration.

He claimed he was the victim of a politically motivated campaign over his key role in removing Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House of Representatives, which led to his withdrawal.

But Gaetz was a controversial choice from the start because his resume lacked legal experience and he had been investigated by the department Trump asked him to run.

“There’s a play that’s being staged in Washington where they’re trying to defame someone and, you know, they’re dredging up false, years-old accusations in the most salacious and click-baity flavor possible. And in this case it was,” he said.

“These allegations came from sources that Merrick Garland’s DOJ already deemed not credible.”

He ultimately found himself facing a politically motivated body, he continued, because he initiated the process that ousted McCarthy last year.

“They were all hand-picked by Kevin McCarthy and they had an ax to grind.

‘So that would at least be sufficient basis to postpone my appointment as attorney general.

‘Like things [in] If the House Ethics report were true, I would be indicted and probably in a jail cell,” he said, according to clips first shared with DailyMail.com.

“But of course they are false, because when you test them against other documents, when you test them against other testimonies, it all falls apart very quickly.”

Moreover, he insists that he could have answered all the allegations during his confirmation hearings, but the process would have dragged on, undermining Trump’s plans to begin his government overhaul on day one.

“And I could have answered all those questions. I could have had a months-long factual battle, but we don’t have months to go through that.

“We need an AG. ready to get to work on day one to implement the immigration agenda and work on the President’s other key deregulatory policy goals.”

He said he was encouraged by the meetings on the Hill on Nov. 2, when he met with key senators who would help guide his nomination.

But he finally announced that he would be quitting late in the morning of November 21. Trump took swift action Thursday by naming former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as Gaetz’s replacement.

The former Florida congressman said Bondi would be ready to go to work on day one.

“My good friend Pam Bondi is going to be a phenomenal attorney general for Donald Trump,” he said.

‘She has legal insight. She hates criminals. She is a bright legal mind and a fellow Floridian.

“So I think that even though the path will take me to a different position in life and a different place to fight for our agenda and President Trump, we have a great person in place.”

Gaetz added that he was willing to serve Trump however he wanted.

“I’m still going to compete, but it will be from a new position,” he said.

“I do not intend to participate in the 119th Congress. There are some amazing people from Florida who have run for my seat, people who have inspired me with their heroism, with their public service.”
