Matt Damon’s Southie apartment in building from Good Will Hunting is now on the market for $4,500  

An apartment inside the building featured in Good Will Hunting has hit the market, but moviegoers will need to shell out $4,500 a month to live in the same property as Matt Damon’s character Will.

The three-story building has received a major renovation since it hit the big screen in 1997, which is good news for those hoping to avoid the rugged Southie style of the blockbuster classic.

A host of upgraded amenities are found within the second-story two-bedroom home, including a private deck, two bathrooms, and a kitchen with granite countertops.

While Damon’s co-stars Ben Affleck and Robin Williams may not have always enjoyed the South Boston property, its new tenants certainly will after finding themselves at the heart of movie history.

While it looked worse for use in the Oscar favorite, the property has undergone numerous renovations in the years since.

The film, which garnered two Oscars and was nominated for seven more, saw Matt Damon’s character Will Hunting live in the apartment building while working as a mathematically gifted janitor at MIT.

Covering 1,000 square feet, the apartment also comes equipped with a comfortable open-concept living room with enough space to fit a wide-screen TV for movie nights.

A wine fridge, breakfast bar and separate dining area are also neatly distributed throughout the home.

And outside, tenants will enjoy a private terrace, offering an open view of the Boston skyline.

Hardwood floors give the apartment a classic feel, along with a gas fireplace and “generously sized” bathrooms and an ensuite master bedroom.

While it also comes with a parking spot, movie lovers looking to recreate their own Good Will Hunting lifestyle will have to ditch the cigarettes, as this is a non-smoking property.

While Matt Damon might not be the first in line to snatch up the Boston home, he was looking for a new abode on the market after selling his stunning Pacific Palisades mansion in 2021.

The 13,508-square-foot property was originally listed for sale for $21 million, but was reduced to $17.9 million months later after offers were slow to come.

Warner Bros. CEO Ann Sarnoff acquired the Bourne Identity star’s seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion nearly a decade after he and his wife Luciana Barroso bought the property for $15 million.

The sprawling property spans three stories and features seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms, along with numerous luxury amenities including a wine cellar and hot tub.

Matt Damon sold his stunning Pacific Palisades mansion for $18 million in 2021 after the Zen-inspired property was on the market for a year.

The open plan concept of the luxury property allows the living room to be seamlessly converted into a dedicated dining space.

The Pacific Palisades mansion is complete with numerous luxury amenities, including an underground wine cellar that is located within the property and can store hundreds of bottles.

Damon bought the Zen-inspired property in 2012 for $15 million. It comes with a heated pool and an ultra-private poolside dining area, surrounded by greenery.
