Matt Damon loses his temper when Jimmy Kimmel snubbed him again during his 20th anniversary talk show
Jimmy Kimmel continued his years-long fake feud with Matt Damon on Thursday while celebrating the 20th anniversary of their late-night talk show.
At the end of the show, Kimmel, 55, pretended to have run out of time for the actor, 52, whom he has gone down multiple times over the years.
Damon waited patiently in his dressing room with flowers and a cake for the talk show host when Kimmel snubbed him again, causing him to “lose”.

Following a performance with Coldplay, Kimmel closed the show by thanking everyone who turned up before ignoring Matt.
He said: ‘Thanks to George Clooney and Snoop Dogg. I want to apologize to Matt Damon, we’re out of time for him, but we’ll definitely try to work with him sometime in the next 20 years.
The camera panned to Matt in his dressing room as he stared at a television screen before beginning to vandalize the green room in anger.

The Jason Bourne star ripped off a congratulatory banner and smashed the flowers into a table in frustration.
He raged: ‘What the hell is 20 years of this shit? Fuck Kimmel. I can’t believe I baked you a cake.

He later said that Matt’s name was the first name that came to his mind at the moment, and someone they would never cut from the show due to time constraints.
Damon later revealed the origin of the joke in an interview with Parade Magazine in December 2011.
He revealed: ‘The first time I met Jimmy was when I went to do the primetime show. For a year he had been saying, “My apologies to Matt Damon, we’re out of time.”
‘So he came backstage and I asked him what it was about. And he said, “You want to know what happened? I was putting on a particularly boring show; I think my guests were a ventriloquist and a guy in a monkey suit. We were just wrapping up and there was a handful of applause from the audience.”

‘”I was having a rough time, and I just said, ‘My apologies to Matt Damon; we’re out of time.’ My producer was just off camera and doubled over with laughter. It was just black humor. No one else got the joke. But he made us laugh, so we started doing it every night. I have no idea why. I told you it could have been anyone.”
The Ocean’s Eleven actor first appeared on the talk show in 2006, when Kimmel introduced him with a super cut every time he said a sentence.
But at the end of the segment, there was no time left for the interview, and Damon could be seen yelling “fuck you” at the host, as the credits rolled.

Damon responded to the long-running joke, when Kimmel announced in June 2020 that he would be taking a short hiatus from the show.
The Martian actor then walked out of a room behind Kimmel at his home, where he was filming the show remotely.
Wearing a gown and face mask, he said: ‘What am I going to do? … I mean, I haven’t been in. I’ve been here for three months, waiting to get on.
Kimmel was shocked to learn that Damon lived in his guest room, and even more so when he saw his own wife sneaking out of the room in her dressing gown.
He addressed the status of their friendship to People the same year, before hosting the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards.
The Brooklyn-born comedian quipped: “I don’t have any friends named Matt. I have an enemy named Matt, if that’s what you’re asking, and he’s not invited to be a part of anything I’m involved with. This year we have security extra.
