Jubilant Matildas fans heading home after Australia’s victory over Denmark in the Women’s World Cup have major travel problems.

Photos posted online showed thousands of fans trapped in line at Sydney’s Olympic Park station.

Crowds of fans in yellow jerseys gathered outside the station as they waited for transport back to the city, with some saying the trains were not running in either direction.

A supporter said a station announcer had told them there was a ‘minor signaling problem’.

“We are looking for a solution,” they allegedly added.
