MasterChef’s Jock Zonfrillo dead: Chantelle Otten brings flowers to Andy Allen’s home
Famed sexologist Chantelle Otten offered her condolences to Andy Allen on Monday following the death of his MasterChef Australia co-star Jock Zonfrillo on Monday.
Ms Otten, 31, who is close friends with Allen’s wife Alex Davey, was seen arriving at his home in Melbourne on Tuesday with a large bouquet of white flowers.
White flowers, such as lilies and orchids, are a traditional choice in times of grief.
Dressed in a black Calvin Klein denim jumpsuit, the media personality was seen parking her car outside before solemnly walking to the front door.
She was not joined by her boyfriend, Paralympian and former Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott, for the somber house call.

Mrs. Otten has been friends with Allen’s wife for years and was a guest at her bachelorette party last September.
The intimacy expert even joined the couple on a trip to Bali, Indonesia last month.
While Allen has not spoken publicly about the death of his friend and colleague, entertainment reporter Angela Bishop revealed Monday night that both he and fellow MasterChef judge Melissa Leong were struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.

Ms Bishop said on The Project: ‘It’s a loss of a family member here at Ten.
‘[He was] only 46… that’s why this is such a shocking piece of news. As you say, together they would work 16 hours a day for MasterChef. You could not find closer colleagues and confidants.
“They’re devastated. “Broken” is the word that was described to me. They are trying to process this news.’
Police found Zonfrillo’s body around 2am on Monday after being called to a hotel on Lygon Street in Melbourne’s Carlton for a welfare check.
The Scottish-Australian chef and restaurateur co-hosted popular cooking show Channel 10 with Allen and Leong in 2019.

His death came as the 15th season of MasterChef, starring Jamie Oliver as a guest judge, was due to premiere Monday night on Channel Ten.
On Tuesday, an insider shared details of the frantic battle at Ten after network executives learned of Zonfrillo’s death on the eve of the new season airing.
Behind the scenes, station bosses and MasterChef producers stepped in to make sure the news didn’t go public until 2 p.m., just five and a half hours before the season premiere was set to air.

The first thing they did was contact Zonfrillo’s wife, Lauren Fried, who was vacationing in Italy with the couple’s two children, and booked the family on the first flight home.
Statements had to be prepared and publicity assignments had to be canceled at the last minute when Channel Ten took over the social media accounts of Zonfrillo and his MasterChef co-stars Melissa Leong and Andy Allen.
Leong seemed none the wiser when she spoke glowingly about Zonfrillo in an interview broadcast on a Perth radio station at 8pm Monday, before all other interviews for the rest of the day were abruptly cancelled.
