Things get spicy on Sunday night’s episode of MasterChef Australia.
The fiery dish of one of the contestants leaves judge Andy Allen speechless in a moment of taste buds.
In a sneak peek at the upcoming episode, Brent Draper gives a light-hearted warning to judges Melissa Leong, Jock Zonfrillo, and Andy Allen before delving into his Asian-inspired lamb dish.
He mentions that it has “a bit of a bite,” specifically teasing Andy with a, “Be careful, mate.”
Melissa bravely steps in to serve up the fiery spices and add an extra chilli kick to Andy’s portion.

Allen initially plays off the challenge, quipping, “That looks tame,” as the loaded plate is pushed his way.
But it seems the confident judge spoke too soon. Andy’s words evaporate into thin air as he bites into Brent’s scorching dish.
His face warms up as he bends over to resist the powerful chilli blast.

Meanwhile, fellow judges Jock and Melissa couldn’t help but burst out laughing at Andy’s reaction.
Zonfrillo chuckles, ‘You stopped him, look at him! Andy and chili are the two funniest things ever.’
Despite the fiery encounter, Andy manages to appreciate the flavors of the dish. He gasps for words and says, “Oh my God… Brent. It’s really good, mate.’

This spirited encounter follows a recent controversy in which Andy had to defend his judging style, following criticism from former contestant Chris Badenoch.
Chris previously described Allen’s criticisms as “incredibly frustrating,” even likening them to a “Trump speech; a lot of words that don’t match.’
In response, Allen seemed amused and reacted to the I have news for you podcast and said, “Wow, the first time I’ve been compared to Trump, how good.”
He added, “Look, when I was a contestant, your job was to really understand and piece together the critiques. [from the judges]. It’s part of the learning process.’
