MasterChef judge Andy Allen and his pregnant wife Alex Davey arrive in Sydney ahead of Jock Zonfrillo’s top secret funeral – as the celebrity chef is remembered in a close circle of loved ones

Andy Allen landed in Sydney on Thursday with his pregnant wife Alex Davey ahead of fellow co-star Jock Zonfrillo’s private funeral.

The MasterChef judge, 35, and Davey arrived at Sydney’s domestic airport as they prepared to mourn the Scottish-born chef – who will bid farewell Saturday morning in a ‘top secret’ service at a small chapel in Sydney.

Allen looked glum as he made his way through the airport just 10 days after his co-star’s tragic death.

Zonfrillo was found dead by police at the age of 46 in a Melbourne hotel on May 1.

It is believed he died of natural causes, with the coroner currently determining the exact cause.

Allen kept his head down as he entered Sydney in black jeans, a white T-shirt and a black shirt.

He held a garment bag in his hand as he walked through the terminal with his wife, Davey.

She put on a long black dress, a pair of knee-high black boots and a cream coat.

The late chef’s funeral has been firmly covered up by his widow Lauren Fried.

The recent widow, who shares children Alfie, three, and Isla, eight months, with her late husband, 46, sent out funeral invitations in Sydney earlier this week.

They were accompanied by strict instructions for family and famous friends not to disclose funeral details, it said The Sydney Morning Herald.

Fried also revealed to guests that there would be no wake after the funeral, an attendee told the publication on Saturday.

“The family just want it to happen without the attention his death has drawn, which was understandably overwhelming,” they said.

The undertaker added: “They try to keep it as personal as possible. It is crucial that they are given the space to do so.’

While Zonfrillo and his family lived in Melbourne during his role on MasterChef, Fried chose to hold his funeral in Sydney.

She reportedly chose the location because she’s originally from Sydney, where her extended family is based, and it’s where Zonfrillo first moved from Glasgow 23 years ago.
