MasterChef fans giggle at ‘particularly miserable’ new floor manager

“Has he been released from prison for a day?” MasterChef fans giggle at the ‘extremely miserable’ new floor manager as they mock the show’s newest addition

MasterChef fans giggled at the “particularly miserable” new floor manager when Gregg Wallace and John Torode returned to the screens on Monday.

This season’s new format sees the judges leave the room while a new member of staff watches over and reins in the contestants.

Within minutes of the show’s opening, viewers were mocking his stern look and cheekily joked, “Has he been released from prison for the day?”

They took to social media wondering why previous floor manager Ben – who was praised for his looks but criticized for stressing out the contestants – was missing from the episode.

Fans of the show said that “the new timer guy” needed to “lighten up” a bit, claiming that he must have seen “really bad stuff in the trenches of Masterchef.”

One person joked, “That floor manager looks like he’s been released from prison for the day!”

“Damn, the timer man looks particularly miserable tonight, go crazy!” added another.

A third fan commented, “Look at the excitement on the random floor manager’s face. This new round on #Masterchef is so weird!

“Are they auditioning potential new hosts for when John and Gregg finally kill each other?”

Someone else posted, “This one has seen some really bad stuff in the Masterchef trenches; he knows what happens to the contestants who serve Grace Dent matcha-flavoured tiramisu.’

This week’s new signing wasn’t the first floor manager who felt the wrath of MasterChef fans, as Ben was previously both praised for his good looks and criticized for constantly barking time alerts at stressed-out contestants.

Viewers were left agitated by the “aggressive” floor manager whom they found “a bit fierce” with his watchful memories.

Many took to Twitter to air their grievances, criticizing the timekeeping tyrant for trying to get his hands on his “five minutes in the spotlight.”
