MasterChef Australia’s Khanh Ong shares his boozy recipe for Christmas ham – and you’ll never guess the secret ingredient

Celebrity chef Khanh Ong has made Christmas a little brighter for fans this year.

The 30-year-old MasterChef star took to Instagram on Thursday to share his boozy Christmas ham recipe, which has a sexy secret: a splash of gin.

“I make this ham every year and I forget how good it is until I eat it!” he gushed into the story.

Khanh also posted a video showing step-by-step how to prepare and cook his 'gin ham'.

Ingredients in the delicious recipe include cloves, brown sugar, cherry jam, orange juice, seeded mustard, Dijon mustard, allspice, salt and cinnamon powder.

In the video, Khanh cuts the skin off the ham, coats it with cloves and pours the cherry and gin glaze over it before baking.

Fans flocked to Khanh's message board to praise the delectable dish.

“For God's sake please tell me what building you live in so I can get a job as a janitor,” one follower joked.

Khanh was a fan favorite in MasterChef Australia Seasons 10 and 12, coming 3rd and 9th consecutively.

He then competed in Survivor Bloods vs. Water in Australia and currently has his own show on SBS, Khanh Ong's Wild Food.
