MasterChef Australia star Shannon Bennett is slammed for the way he makes scrambled eggs in $400 Le Creuset saucepan

MasterChef Australia star Shannon Bennett has been roasted online after he shared a shock clip on social media of the unconventional way he makes scrambled eggs.

The celebrity chef, 48, posted the footage to Instagram, which showed him enthusiastically preparing the dish in his expensive $400 Le Creuset pan.

However, Shannon told fans he wouldn’t make it the conventional way with “water, milk and cream,” which he said would “water down the eggs.”

‘It’s just eggs beaten with a little butter and salt. That’s it,” Shannon told his followers as he got to work preparing breakfast.

He then cracked raw eggs into a pan and started whisking them around before pouring in olive oil and simmering the recipe.

The culinary expert grabbed his expensive Le Creuset pan and poured the heated eggs into it, then quickly scraped them around with a spatula before cheerfully telling his fans that dinner was ready.

‘It’s quite easy to make scrambled eggs. Keep it simple,” Shannon wrote in the caption.

Shannon’s fans quickly freaked out about his unusual way of preparing the dish and took to the comments section to roast him.

“I think you’re a great chef but I’m old fashioned, eggs, cream, butter, butter and more butter lol,” one fan joked.

“I like my scrambled eggs with butter and cream,” a second person wrote.

“Would Gordon Ramsay approve?” asked a third user.
