MasterChef Australia star Shannon Bennett is left fuming as ‘careless’ people leave dog poo outside his multi-million dollar home

MasterChef Australia star Shannon Bennett has hit back at “careless” pet owners who left dog feces outside his multi-million dollar mansion in Byron Bay.

Shannon lives in a grand $2 million, six-bedroom mansion with direct access to the picturesque Belongil Beach, but is the target of the disgusting act.

The celebrity chef took to Instagram on Thursday to target careless pet owners, specifically people who took their dogs to the beach to do yoga.

He claimed that people have not picked up their pets and instead left bags of dog feces on the sidewalk outside his property.

Shannon shared a series of photos of bags of dog poop apparently left near his home and on the beach.

‘New in town? Beginner at Yoga?,” he raged in one message.

“Start by bending over and picking your dog up, also called the downward dog position.”

He then instructed pet owners to use the facilities provided to dispose of the offending items rather than leaving them off his property.

“And then place it in one of the ten bins provided and not on my doorstep,” the post continued.

In addition to his ranting post, he also shared a photo of a trio of dogs walking along the coastline without a leash at dusk.

Shannon, who is dating Erica Packer, wasted no time in endorsing the angry post and telling the offenders in no uncertain terms to do the right thing.

Stop kissing and pick up the doggy bags,” he wrote.

“Throwing the bag on the sand or rocks and then drawing a circle around the bag with your toe in the sand is really weird.”

It seemed like Shannon’s post struck a chord with his followers, with many quickly agreeing with Shannon on the issue.

“Well said,” one follower offered. ‘It’s really disappointing to see how many people leave their dog waste bags on the beach. Especially when the tide comes in.’

Another offered a rather direct solution, as they wrote: ‘If you see someone drop a poop bag, I think you would be well within your rights to pick it up and throw it at him or her in the hope that it will a collision explodes.’

One dog owner was also quick to support Shannon’s position.

“I completely agree with you,” they wrote. “I couldn’t believe the number of dog poop bags along the shoreline, and yes, I have a dog and am responsible for her mess.”

Belongil Beach does have dog-friendly sections, but it is unclear if this is the section that runs along Shannon’s property.

Shannon’s home is a modern, architecturally designed oceanfront complex with direct access to the picturesque Belongil Beach.

According to Urban, Shannon purchased the land – a block of five lots measuring 4,588 square meters – from entertainment industry entrepreneur John Cornell in 2020 for $2 million.

The adjacent property is currently for sale for a reported $40 million.

Ny Breaking Australia has contacted Shannon Bennett for comment.

Shannon, who shares children Phoenix, Hendrix, Xascha, Xanthe, Xahlia and Margaux with ex-partner Madeleine West, debuted his new relationship with Erica over the Christmas holidays.

Shannon opened up about his new romance with Erica, the ex-wife of businessman James Packer, to the Herald Sun back in March.

“Erica is amazing,” Shannon told the publication.

“She’s really good, she goes back and forth a lot. It’s a fun and wonderful adventure, it’s amazing we haven’t met before.”

‘We love life. “I am a very happy man,” he added.
