Reynold Poernomo showed off his incredibly artistic cooking skills on Sunday when he showed off his latest creation.

The MasterChef star, 29, shared a photo of a perfect edible rose on Instagram after making the dish for the first time the week before.

He said the small bowl, which looked almost indistinguishable from a flower, was made from Kingfish.

‘Hiramasa Kingfish dressed with white soy ponzu, covered with daikon and then sprinkled with yukari. Finished with shiso oil and clarified tomato dashi,” he captioned the post.

Fans of the celebrity chef flocked to the comments section of the image to leave a series of emojis expressing their shock at the dish.

Meanwhile, others wrote him complimentary messages, with one person saying: ‘It’s a beautiful creation, Reynold. You did it again.’

Someone else said: ‘You’re just the best!’ while another wrote: ‘This is amazing, Reynold.’

He and his brother run the KOI Dessert Bar chain, which has locations in Chippendale and Ryde in Sydney.

Reynold recently came under fire when he threw away Italian pasta while on holiday in Italy to attend a friend’s wedding in the Lake Como area.

During his trip, he shared a pasta dish he didn’t like on his Instagram Stories, drawing some harsh criticism.

‘These raviolis. No no no no… How am I the only one who feels like this was done wrong? As a non-Italian,” he wrote.

However, it seemed that Reynold received backlash from fans in his DMs as he later posted a somewhat retracted comment on his first photo.

“Okay, I got some angry responses to my pasta post. For context: yes, they are exactly tortellini. The menu said “Ravioli”. Plus! The sage was not even cooked,” he said.

‘The intensity of the raw sage was too sharp. I’m going to have ANOTHER great pasta experience here in Italy.’
