A former MasterChef Australia star has revealed his surprising new career change after his disastrous stint on the Channel 10 cooking show.

Harry Foster appeared on seasons eight and twelve of the show, placing 3rd and 21st consecutively.

After his last piece on the reality show, he lashed out at producers for his lack of airtime.

Now Harry has completely left the culinary world behind, and this week he announced his new profession as a venomous snake handler.

On Monday, he posted several photos of himself interacting with what appeared to be a brown snake.

He wrote in the caption, “You’re looking at the Northern Rivers’ newest certified venomous snake handler.”

The new career switch is undoubtedly a welcome change for Harry after leaving his last season of boiling MasterChef.

The season eight finalist took a swipe at the show in an Instagram post in 2020, after becoming frustrated with his lack of airtime.

He also accused Channel 10 of not sending him professional photos of his dishes from his latest episode to share on his social media platforms.

“MasterChef hasn’t sent me pictures of my food on the show tonight. Sorry about that,” Harry wrote alongside a photo of him drinking beer with tears in his eyes.

Interestingly, most of his co-stars got images of their food to share on Instagram to promote the elimination episode.

Harry laughed when a follower pointed out his rare on-screen appearances.

Harry responded on his Instagram Story: “Haha ditto.”

The fisherman lashed out at the show one more time in his only Instagram post about the episode.

Harry first appeared on the eighth season of MasterChef in 2016. He placed third behind Elena Duggan and Matt Sinclair.
