MasterChef Australia star Julie Goodwin shares a photo of her rarely-seen children – and they are all giants

Julie Goodwin shared a rare family photo as she enjoyed her seaside vacation with her tall sons.

The 53-year-old winner of season one of MasterChef Australia took to Instagram on Friday to capture a candid moment from her holiday on the New South Wales south coast with her husband Michael, their three sons – Joe, 28, Tom, 27, and Paddy, 25 – and her granddaughter Delilah, three.

In the family photo, Julie’s sons towered over her as they posed on the terrace of their vacation home.

“Family vacation! Once your kids are grown, it’s almost impossible for them all to get time off at the same time,” she wrote in her caption.

‘That’s why this week was so valuable; just hanging out together, playing games, going for walks and of course eating a lot together.’

“Delilah looked happier the rest of the vacation than she does in this photo,” Julie added.

Some fans and followers of the celebrity chef responded to the comments, pointing out her son’s huge height difference.

‘How gorgeous! Look how big your boys are! Mine have surpassed me too!’ wrote one user.

Julie recently underwent a glamorous makeover in preparation for her debut on Dancing With The Stars.

The cookbook author looked very different when she appeared in a promo for the competition posted on YouTube earlier this month.

The clip sees the celebrity chef making a delicious salsa in a kitchen, while presenters Dr. Chris Brown and Sonia Kruger join in.

“Add a little garnish and you have the perfect salsa,” Julia said while Sonia, 58, asked: “But is it the perfect salsa?”

Julie appeared shocked by her presence and responded with a simple ‘yes’, to which Dr Chris, 45, added: ‘But is that so?’

When Julie answered in the affirmative, Sonia grabbed her around the waist and led her in a dance number.

“Or is this it?” Sonia said as the clip changed to a video of Julie showing off her dance moves on the dance floor.

She wore a beautiful red dress that reached mid-thigh and had a large floral embellishment on one shoulder.

Julie had the biggest smile on her face as she danced with her dance partner on the iconic DWTS stairs.

Julie had her short locks perfectly curled in her usual style and paired them with her iconic frames before slipping on a pair of silver low heels.

The clip ends with Julia turning in her dance partner’s arms and then heading back to the kitchen, where Dr. Chris is eating the salsa dish she’s prepared.

Julie seemed over the moon in the promo, despite having recently opened up about her traumatic childhood in her new memoir.

In her autobiography, Your Time Starts Now, she describes being sexually abused as a child and later attempting suicide as a teenager.

The TV chef, who rose to fame after her winning performance on MasterChef in 2009, claims the long-buried memory of the abuse returned when she was 16.

This comes after the full cast for Dancing with the Stars 2024 was finally confirmed, ahead of its premiere later this year.

Joining Julie will be four-time Gold Logie winner Lisa McCune showing off her skills on the dance floor, along with footballer Ben Cousins and former AFL WAG Nadia Bartel.

They join singer Samantha Jade, SAS Australia’s Ant Middleton, AFL legend Shane Crawford and Olympian and former senator Nova Peris.

The contestants also include comedian Nikki Osborne, Home and Away’s James Stewart, Better Homes and Gardens presenter Adam Dovile and chef Hayden Quinn.
