Key MasterChef Australia figure dies at 34 as Channel Ten pay tribute to talented star

MasterChef Australia dedicated the 2024 premiere episode to the series producer who has sadly passed away.

Jarred Bocca had been series producer of the Channel 10 show since August 2023, but died in February aged 35.

The show paid tribute to the star when they shared a photo of him along with a heartfelt message at the end of Monday’s launch episode.

‘In memory of Jarred Bocca. Love forever, the MasterChef family,” the tribute read.

Jarred became series producer of MasterChef Australia last year, but has worked with production company EndemolShine Australia in various roles since September 2014.

He first worked as studio production coordinator on MasterChef, before taking on other roles including challenge producer and cycle producer.
