Fans of MasterChef Australia have taken to social media to call a recent episode of the popular cooking show ‘cringe’.
On Tuesday evening, chef Adriano Zumbo instructed the participants to make their own croquembouche.
But instead of being led to the MasterChef pantry to pick up their ingredients as they normally would, the contestants made the trip to Coles.
While in the shop, participant Nat was heard asking a Coles employee where he could find raspberries.
The Coles employee then told Nat how the supermarket gets their berries.

Viewers quickly took to social media and labeled the blatant brand placement as “cringe.”
‘The interactions with the staff at Coles are so fake!!’ one user joked.
They also noted that the raspberries were clearly visible to Nat when she inquired about their whereabouts.
“I CAN’T CARE this Coles placement,” another commented.
“I can’t wait to get to Coles and ask the exhausted staff to tell me the story of their raspberries,” joked a third.

‘Does Coles really need MORE advertising time?’ asked another user.
“These Coles segments are nastier than Pezza making boomer jokes,” one person added.
Andy Allen was the only judge to return to the show this year, after Melissa Leong’s weight loss and Jock Zonfrillo tragically died last April, just one day before season 15 aired.
Andy, 36, who first joined the panel in 2020, admitted he wasn’t sure if he would return after the devastating loss of Jock, but ultimately decided to do so after realizing this was what his friend would have wanted.

He was joined on the 2024 panel by MasterChef season one runner-up Poh Ling Yeow, food writer Sofia Levin and French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli.
The 2024 series is still running as contestants battle for their place in the final, but Network 10 has already confirmed the future of the new judging panel.
A spokesperson confirmed that the four judges will return for the 2025 series after making a hugely successful debut this year, impressing the cast and viewers.
They said: ‘Judges Andy Allen, Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli will all return to the MasterChef Australia kitchen in 2025 to serve up another delicious season of Australia’s favorite cooking show.’
