It’s going to be exciting this year in the kitchen of MasterChef Australia, as 18 contestants compete for the chance to win culinary gold.

And with the final still looming on the horizon, insiders have already shared their predictions about who will be crowned the winner.

Speak against magazine New Idea on Wednesday, eliminated contestant Antonio revealed that he has strong suspicions about who will make it to the final.

“They’re all great, so I know any one of them can really make it. [But] I’d like to see Declan or Rhiannon [in the final two],” revealed the Venezuelan-born chef.

Meanwhile, expelled Grace told WHO magazine that she predicts that Brent or Theo will reign victorious.

It comes as Ten continues his search for contestants for the next season of MasterChef.

No filming dates have been set for the new season, but applicants have been told they must be over 18 by the time October 16 arrives.

There is still no word on who will replace Jock as judge following his tragic death.

Jock died on May 1 at the age of 46. He was buried in May in a private funeral in Sydney surrounded by 200 family and friends.

There are also swirling rumors that hosts Melissa Leong and Andy Allen could be planning to leave the show as they continue to grapple with the tragic death of their co-star.

Some fans are convinced that the entire hosting panel may be replaced altogether.

“Has anyone ever thought, ‘What if Mel and Andy decide not to remain judges next season?'” one Facebook user wrote on a MasterChef fan page last week

“That occurred to me too,” another user wrote.
