Massive Task Force Magnus raids: Sister of Comanchero bikie boss Tarek Zahed – who lost an eye in gangland hit – is one of nine arrested

Motorcycle boss Tarek Zahed’s sister has been arrested by police in a series of city-wide raids following the June execution of drug kingpin Alen Moradian.

Tattooed Asmahan ‘Azzie’ Zahed, 43, was one of nine people arrested on Thursday by detectives across Sydney by NSW Police’s Task Force Magnus.

Asmahan’s brother Omar Zahed was killed and brother Tarek lost an eye in a gang attack when Comanchero motorcycles were gunned down at an Auburn gym last June.

Omar, 39, died at the scene from a hail of gunfire, but Tarek, 42, miraculously survived despite being shot ten times, including a bullet to the head that struck his eye.

On Thursday, police raided their sister’s Auburn home, next to a nursery school, in western Sydney as part of the massive attack on addresses in ten different suburbs.

Footage from her arrest showed her wearing handcuffs, thongs and joggers and hiding her face under a black hoodie as parents and children arrived at the children’s center across the road.

Detectives raided homes in Quakers Hill, Auburn, Greenacre, Villawood, Dundas Valley, Greystanes, South Penrith, Plumpton, Orchard Hills and Voyager Point.

They allegedly found two firearms, approximately 700 grams of cocaine, 1 kg of cannabis, methylamphetamine, $45,000 in cash, cell phones, fake NSW license plates, and presumed stolen luxury jewelery and watches.

They also found a laptop in a Greenacre home that was allegedly used to create the false rego plates, along with an air rifle, pistol and bullets.

Task Force Magnus was formed in the aftermath of the underworld murder of cocaine ringleader Alen Moradian, who was gunned down in his car in an underground car park of a block of flats in Bondi Junction in eastern Sydney.

It is an extension of the Raptor team that focuses on organized crime and expands the focus to those allegedly associated with biker gangsters in an effort to prevent an all-out gang war.

Raids on Thursday also arrested Lolomania Kolomotangi, 23, in Quakers Hill, who was accused of being in a stolen car, failing to provide digital evidence to police and believed to have stolen property.
