Massive Boxing Day sale as Qantas and Virgin launch cheap flights to Bali, Tokyo and more

Two of Australia's largest airlines are offering discount airfares for 2024.

Qantas and Virgin offer discounted airline tickets to popular domestic and international destinations including Asia, Europe and the Americas, with prices starting from $49.

Qantas has discounted almost every domestic route and a range of international destinations for a range of dates in the second half of 2024.

The flight tickets for Boxing Day sale are available for 72 hours on the Qantas website.

A one-way flight from Melbourne to Launceston can be had for just $109, while Melburnians going to Sydney can get a deal for $135.

The cheapest one-way international fare from Sydney is to Christchurch for just $334, while flights from Brisbane to Port Vila start at $364.

Customers who still have Qantas Covid credit can use it until December 31, 2023.

Virgin has offered more than 500,000 cheap flights to destinations such as Bali, Samoa, Tokyo and Fiji.

The airline's four-day sale includes select airline tickets between January 10, 2024 and November 7, 2024.

Virgin's Boxing Day sale ends at midnight on December 29, 2023.

Sydneysiders looking for a coastal escape can head to Byron Bay for $49, while a flight to Hobart costs just $85.
