Massachusetts woman wins $1m lottery jackpot twice in 10 weeks

  • Christine Wilson won two $1 million jackpots in ten weeks in Mansfield
  • Used the first payout to buy an SUV and the second goes to savings

Almost everyone who buys lottery tickets goes their entire lives without beating the incredible odds required to win.

But Christine Wilson won two $1 million jackpots in ten weeks, becoming one of the luckiest people in Massachusetts.

Wilson’s first win was in the Lifetime Millions $50 instant ticket game, which she purchased in February at Discount Liquors in Mansfield.

She chose to receive her prize as a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes, and said she would put some of it toward the purchase of an SUV.

Christine Wilson’s second win was the 100X Club $10 instant ticket, a scratch game where players have to match numbers

Her second win was the 100X Club $10 instant ticket, a scratch game where players have to match numbers.

Wilson purchased these at Family Food Mart in Mansfield, again choosing to accept a $650,000 payment – this time to supplement her savings.

The store where she purchased the ticket will also receive a $10,000 prize.

A handful of other lottery players are known to have won two jackpots this year, but the amounts were much smaller.

A man in Michigan won $110,000 in a Fantasy 5 Double Play drawing in February, and the same amount six months earlier.
