- He is in the process of recovery and could make his comeback tomorrow
Mason Mount is closing in on a return to action for Manchester United after accelerating his recovery from injury.

He could now make his comeback in tomorrow night’s Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Mount was seen smiling as he worked with his team-mates on Monday morning and will be desperate to get back on the pitch after making just two appearances for United since his £60m summer move.

The England international has missed United’s last two games but is back in the first-team squad.
Fellow centre-back Raphael Varane was also involved in training as United’s injury problems began to subside.
Erik ten Hag has been with an exhausted selection in recent matches after injuries to Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia, among others.
He had just five defenders in his squad for United’s 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich last week, and was forced to call on Jonny Evans in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Burnley after Lisandro Martinez became the latest player to be left off action. .
The return of Maguire and Varane gives him two more experienced options at the heart of his defense as United look to get back on track after a shaky start to the season.
