Mason Greenwood ‘will be paid £8 MILLION by Manchester United if the attacker stays at the club until the end of his contract’… while the Red Devils must make a final decision on his future during an investigation
- Mason Greenwood still has two years contract with Manchester United
- 21-year-old earns £75,000 a week but hasn’t played since January last year
- Several clubs are reportedly interested in a loan deal for this summer
Mason Greenwood will receive a further £8 million from Manchester United if he stays at the club until his contract expires in 2025.
After graduating from United’s academy, Greenwood was signed by the club on a four-and-a-half-year contract in 2021 after breaking into the first team under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Greenwood last played for United in January 2022 before being suspended by the club after being arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.
Charges against the 21-year-old were dropped in February, but the club has continued to carry out an internal investigation into the matter.
During this time, the one-time England international was not allowed to return to training, but continued to receive his wages of £75,000 a week.

Greenwood is free to return to football since charges against him were dropped, but the player has reportedly told friends he believes he will never play for the club again.
That’s what a source close to the youngster told The sun last month: ‘Mason believes he is done at United.
“He is home kicking and very frustrated.
“He wants to play football again, but realizes that his situation is very complicated and that he brought it on himself.
“He’s determined to play football again, but doesn’t think he’ll ever wear a United shirt again.”
It is believed that United are willing to send the attacker on loan and that a number of European clubs would be interested in securing his signature.

Juventus have previously been linked with a move to Greenwood, and Serie A rivals AC Milan have also reportedly expressed interest in signing him, with the club reportedly admiring the player’s technical quality.
Prior to his arrest, Greenwood was seen as one of the most exciting talents to emerge from United’s acclaimed academy system in recent years.
Greenwood made his first-team debut with the club in March 2019 and went on to score 35 goals in 127 appearances in all competitions.
