Mary Poppins star Glynnis Jones celebrated her 100th birthday last Thursday.
The actress, who portrayed Winifred Banks in the classic 1964 Disney musical, reflected on her career during an interview with ABC7in which she opened her work and longevity.
The performer, whose family have publicly expressed their desire to be made a Dame by the British government, also said that despite her age, she still feels ready to return to the set.
When asked how he felt about turning 100, Jones said “It doesn’t make any difference to me”, before joking: “Well, I looked very good for any age.”
The actress also talked about being in the original cast of Stephen Sondheim’s 1973 musical, in which she performed the song Send In The Clowns.

Looking back on her performances on the show and the opportunity to sing for her fans, the performer recalled: “I got applause for that. I loved doing it. I felt it myself.’
Jones won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Desiree Armfeldt in 1973 for her work on the series.
During the interview, the actress proudly displayed her Tony Award and stated that it was “better than nothing, right?”
During the interview, the performer also talked about her busy career and stated: “I think I’ve been working on something since birth.”
Jones concluded the interview after being told that her work will likely be remembered by fans well into the future.
The performer described the idea of her work influencing future audiences as a ‘wonderful thought’ before adding: ‘That’s what I was hoping for.’
The actress, who was born in Pretoria, South Africa, on October 5, 1923, began her career in the 1930s with various stage appearances in the United Kingdom.
She eventually made her screen debut at the age of 15 in the 1938 feature South Riding.
