Martine McCutcheon takes a fresh swipe at her estranged husband Jack McManus as she takes aim at ‘people who are unsure about me’

Martine McCutcheon appeared to attack her estranged husband Jack McManus, taking aim at ‘people who are insecure about me’.

On Thursday, Martine, 48, revealed that Jack, 40, had left her after 18 years together, just days after writing him a heartfelt birthday greeting.

Martine is now on holiday in Marbella with their son Rafferty, 9, while her ex stays in their £1.5million home in Surrey.

On Friday, Martine appeared to take a mysterious dig at Jack when she reposted a video of author Alex Elle.

Alex says in the video: ‘As I get older, I have less and less time for people who are insecure about me.

‘I need people in my life who are secure. People who want to be there. People who make room for me.’

Martine shared the video to her Story and wrote: ‘I love this lady. @alex_elle, a soothing, soft voice, gently reminding us of our own strength, value, love and true worth.’

On Thursday, Martine wrote: ‘After much thought and consideration, Jack has decided that it is best for us to part ways after 18 years together and I accept his decision.’

She continued: ‘We are both incredibly grateful for our beautiful 9-year-old son Rafferty, whose happiness and well-being has always been and always will be our highest priority.

‘We both still look forward to being parents together to our wonderful boy for the rest of our lives…

‘While this decision has evolved over time, we are still working to find our way forward as a family and kindly ask for some privacy at this time… Especially for our little boy.

‘Our love for Rafferty will never waver or change and we obviously want to protect him and make sure he feels as safe and secure as possible.

‘Thank you in advance for your respect and support during this difficult time… And I continue to send Jack all the love, happiness and prosperity for the next chapter of his life.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline at the time of Martine’s statement, Jack had said: ‘There is nothing more to add. I will say no more on this.’

Meanwhile, a neighbor of the couple said he had no indication the two were on the rocks, while a relative of Jack said the split came “very suddenly.”

The neighbor shared: “That’s a big surprise. I often saw them outside with their son. Martine was always very friendly. I really feel sorry for them.”

The couple’s five-bedroom, 2,800-square-foot detached home went on the market on May 31.

Jack’s family say the split happened “very suddenly” and was caused by him two months ago.

Asked today why they had split, Jack’s aunt said from the family home in West Wickham, Kent: “I really can’t say. Jack’s mum is there with him now. I look after the dog.

“It’s been tough. A lot has happened. My sister just lost her husband too. It was very sudden. It was announced two months ago now.”

The couple married in 2012 on Italy’s picturesque Lake Como, five years after they started dating.
