She became a reporter for BBC’s technology program Click in 2011, later moving on to presenting the show in 2018.

Earlier this year, Lara revealed she had resorted to wearing “heavy makeup” to cover her facial scars after a horrific electric scooter accident in June.

She suffered a dangerous fall from her scooter, which left her with massive wounds on her forehead and upper lip that required stitches.

And just weeks after the incident, Laura took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a stunning photo of herself outside the British Museum, telling her fans that her scars were “hidden” with makeup.

Commenting on the smiley selfie, one follower wrote: “Beautiful lady and polite. And check you. No scars. Xx’

To which Lara replied, “Thanks, she did an amazing job covering some very heavy makeup!”

Meanwhile, the blonde beauty uploaded another glowing image of herself filming the next day, explaining how “satisfied” she was with the makeup that hid her scars, as well as the lighting and shot.

Her caption read, “Self shot for the first time in a long time today. Had completely forgotten how useful it is to be able to quickly shoot a few bits on camera to wrap up a story.

“Was pretty happy with lighting, sound, shot, makeup (like hidden scars), then took a selfie of everything before putting the clip in to finish my edit. Although I don’t always want to do this alone, it feels good to know I can do it.’

Lara shocked fans when she revealed footage of her facial injuries from her accident, with one shot of her face in the immediate aftermath, while another showed how much her face had healed six days later.

Lara was clearly shaken by the crash and stated that she would ‘never’ ride an electric scooter again.

She captioned the images, “As an extremely clumsy person, always wobbling on two wheels, the electric scooter ride would never be a good idea!

‘After being cleaned and stitched (2nd pic before, so not for the squeamish!), 6 days later I’m healing well, and thankful it wasn’t worse. Never again!’
