Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington’s lookalike children Joe and Grace give rare glimpse into family life as they share lip-sync clip to his film Nativity with actor’s girlfriend Rachel Benaissa

The lookalike children of exes Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington have given a glimpse into family life at home.

The Sherlock stars were together for 16 years, from 2000 until their breakup in 2016, and they share two children, Joe and Grace.

But over Christmas week, Grace took to TikTok to share some insight into her and Joe’s festivities with dad Martin at the home he shares with girlfriend Rachel Benaissa and their two sausage dogs.

The hilarious clip showed the family lip-syncing to the boy band song from Martin’s iconic Christmas film Nativity, called She’s The Brightest Star.

It gave fans a little glimpse into the actor’s lavish home, as he and daughter Grace danced in front of a large fireplace and a huge patterned rug.

In another part of the video, Martin was seen relaxing on an expensive-looking blue padded velvet couch as he petted one of his dachshunds and lip-synched on the track.

In a particularly funny part of the video, Grace stood in front of a glittering Christmas tree as she lip-synced, before her brother Joe and father Martin entered the picture to be her backup singers.

Martin’s French actress partner Rachel, 31, got fully involved as she sang and danced with his son Joe as they both cuddled the dogs.

Martin and Amanda met on the set of the film Men Only in 2000 and played the formidable duo John and Mary Watson in Sherlock.

He has since dated French actress Rachel, who has starred in many roles including BBC’s smash hit Normal People.

Meanwhile, Amanda is now in a relationship with former daredevil Jonathan Goodwin. The couple was friends for years before they started dating.

However, they were only together for two months before Jonathan was permanently paralyzed when he was crushed during a stunt, leaving him in a wheelchair.

The escapologist suffered life-changing injuries after being crushed between two hanging cars while rehearsing a stunt for America’s Got Talent: Extreme in 2021.

Amanda recently opened up about her close relationship with ex Martin, who she said will be attending her wedding next year.

Speaking about the current chapter in her life, Amanda said that although menopause has been challenging, she is happy to be 50 because she “could care less.”

The Sherlock star discussed her upcoming wedding to her fiancé Jonathan Goodwin, who she is tying the knot with next summer.

Amanda, who revealed her son Joe will act as best man while her daughter will be her maid of honor, was also questioned about whether her ex Martin will be in attendance.

She said, “I would imagine so. We’re still friends, we’re good friends. When you have children, it’s important to maintain a good, healthy relationship with your ex, I think.’

In September it was reported that Amanda was supported by Martin amid the Strictly Come Dancing scandal.

Martin reached out to her to support her after the scandal and was someone she could lean on amid the turbulent times, The Sun reported.

A source told the publication: “Martin has done everything he can to make sure Amanda is okay with everything that has happened lately. They share two children together, so for them they have always remained close.

‘He was left worried when he heard about the things Amanda had been through. And it was very encouraging for Amanda to know that she has Martin’s support.

‘She has been through hell lately and has had to endure death threats and hateful messages. She relies heavily on her fiancé Jonathan, who has been an absolute rock through all of this.”

Amanda previously revealed she kept her high-profile split a secret for six months after she and Martin simply couldn’t live together anymore.

Talking to the The Sunday times magazine, she said: ‘When we broke up, no one knew, we didn’t tell anyone except a few key people, because they had to know, because of the logistics of hotels and stuff.

‘It took six months for it to come out and a lot of that was while we were working on Sherlock… We were professional and we would make a show and be polite to each other.

“We still get along really well, we still both admire each other as actors… he’s a great guy, but we just couldn’t live together anymore.”
