Martha Stewart allegedly infuriates Netflix as she SLAMS its documentary about her life after flying streamer’s private plane to premiere

Martha Stewart reportedly angered Netflix after she criticized Martha, the documentary the streamer made about her life.

The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival, and the 83-year-old housekeeper flew back and forth to the Rocky Mountain town on Netflix’s private jet.

“As you can imagine, Netflix is angry,” a source said Page six. ‘Martha was spotted arriving at – and departing – the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado in a private jet, courtesy of Netflix.’

At an event following the premiere, Martha called the documentary “lazy” and “not the story that makes me, me.”

Her problem is that, she says, the documentary places too much emphasis on her trial and subsequent imprisonment for insider trading in 2004.

Stewart reportedly said that the film’s director RJ Cutler “refused to change anything” during his appearance at the 2024 Retail Influencer CEO Forum.

I try not to talk in public about the things I don’t like, [as] “It’s not a good thing,” she said during an onstage conversation with Joanna Coles, Chief Creative and Content Officer of the Daily Beast.

She then added, referring to her doctor, “I can talk about it a little bit negatively,” adding, “It’s more about my stupid trial, which was so unfair.”

“I had a collaboration contract,” Martha said, but Cutler “didn’t want to change anything” and when she objected to the second half of the film highlighting her legal battles.

Ultimately, Cutler edited the film and Martha was unhappy with it. Apparently, Netflix didn’t like it, because they flew her to Colorado on their private jet.

And she was bothered by the fact that the film also featured an interview with former US prosecutor and FBI director James Comey.

‘[Cutler] has a picture of Comey [in the doc]’ she continued, and ‘Comey says, ‘Oh, she’s going to jail because she lied, not because she committed a crime’ — what nonsense.

‘And [he doesn’t put] below: “Comey was fired for lying.”

Comey was fired by Donald Trump in 2017 after widespread criticism of his handling of both Hillary Clinton’s emails and the investigation into Russian election interference.

“As a documentary filmmaker, I would incorporate that,” Stewart continued, “so that’s the laziness part.”

But the Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party star may have the final say. “Netflix has already asked me if I want to do another one,” she said.

Martha will be released on Netflix from October 30th.
