Martha Stewart, 82, reveals her pescatarian grandchildren eat meat only once a year when they devour her Thanksgiving turkey

Martha Stewart has revealed that her pescatarian grandchildren will be allowed to forego their diet on Thanksgiving so they can taste her delicious turkey.

The 82-year-old celebrity chef said her grandchildren – Jude, 12, and Truman, 11 – follow the diet every day of the year, with just one exception.

Martha previously shared her top tips for cooking the “perfect” turkey and has long been known as the Queen of Thanksgiving.

And it looks like her fans aren’t the only ones who will be leaning into her food — both Jude and Truman will ditch their diets on Thanksgiving and help themselves to a helping of their grandmother’s turkey.

Speak with Business insidersaid Martha, “They don’t eat meat, but they do eat fish, and on Thanksgiving they can eat one of my turkeys, but only on Thanksgiving will they eat anything that has meat.”

She explained that the “very good” kids like to eat delicious food, so it was no wonder they made an exception for the cooking personality’s food.

Martha told the outlet that not only did her grandchildren rush to eat her food, but they were also the first to help her in the kitchen.

And her grandchildren weren’t the only family members who chose to forego meat.

Martha’s daughter Alexis, 58, has been a vegetarian for more than four decades after the Queen of Thanksgiving tried to serve them a lamb from their farm.

She told Business Insider: ‘I tried to pass it off as a pork chop, but she knew the difference. Things weren’t going well in our family.’

Although she is surrounded by many vegetarians and pescatarians, Martha has vowed never to become vegan.

The TV host noted that she could never give up her eggs.

She added: ‘I really don’t like vegan food, and I really like my eggs. But I think I’m over the hill now as far as eating meat goes.

‘I have a garden, so I grow almost everything I eat on my farm, even in winter, and I raise my own chickens for the eggs.’

The Sports Illustrated model always makes waves around the holidays.

Last year she released a new digital publication, Martha-liedand in the Harvest & Holiday 2022 issue, she revealed how to make the “perfect turkey” from the comfort of your home.

According to the cooking guru, you should start by purchasing a ‘good bird’. The perfect meal requires a hormone-free, free-range turkey.

The TV personality’s personal favorite is the D’Artagnan Organic Turkey, which she says produces “delicious, flavorful and tender meat.”

All these tips come after years of Martha cooking the feast for her family and friends.

But she revealed to DailyMail.com years ago that she actually burned the turkey during her first Thanksgiving cooking.

Last year she released a new digital publication, Martha-logue, and in the Harvest & Holiday 2022 issue, she revealed how to make the “perfect turkey” every time.

“Tired and teary-eyed on Thanksgiving Day at 3 a.m., I turned on the oven, stuffed the turkey and struggled to get the enormous bird into the electric oven at 3:45 a.m.,” Martha said at the time.

“We invited everyone to dinner at 1 p.m., just as my mother, Big Martha, always did and as tradition required. I went back to sleep and woke up to a house full of black smoke – the turkey was on fire!

“My husband ran downstairs and I followed, thinking about how embarrassed I would be if I served Thanksgiving dinner without a turkey. The bird was indeed hopelessly charred! (My fateful mistake? I preheated the oven to 500 degrees and then forgot to set it to 325 degrees.)”

But in the end, everything turned out well for Martha when she bought another bird and had it ready for the family to eat at 7 p.m. – six hours later than expected.
